Healthcare executive Paul Generale brings nearly two decades of experience in the fields of finance and administration to his role as a senior executive with CHRISTUS Health. Paul Generale began his career with CHRISTUS Health, a Catholic healthcare system, as the chief operating and financial officer of CHRISTUS St. John Hospital in Houston. After a year-long tenure with the healthcare system’s Health Information Technology department in Dallas, he transferred to the CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

While at CHRISTUS St. Vincent, Mr. Generale oversaw the financial performance of the entire regional healthcare system, which included more than two dozen clinic locations and 300 employees. Subsequently, Mr. Generale was named as the interim CFO of the newly formed CHRISTUS Health executive council in 2011.

In addition, Paul Generale spent five years as the senior vice president of financial operations and ambulatory services for CHRISTUS Health in the Dallas area before becoming the executive vice president and chief strategy and network officer for the entire healthcare system. Actively involved in several professional organizations, he is a fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives and a member of the Health Care Financial Management Association.
